Avoid holiday weight gain – 12 Useful Tips
Avoid holiday weight gain is in the minds of millions of Americans when we approach the holiday season to 2010.
The average person gains at least 2 pounds just before Thanksgiving to New Year. Millions of people gain 7 pounds or more.
But it can be different for that.
First, it is unrealistic to think that is going to go all the way through the holidays without a little more to eat than normal. That's as it should be and you deserve to enjoy the holidays!
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year just seem to fly by, along with all the incredible goodies and tasty dishes that make the holidays a special time of year. Do not treat as Cinderella's stepmother treated! It's a fun time of year! All gifts and special meals are part of what the holiday season only.
You can enjoy your favorite holiday foods without gaining weight, so you decide to balance your holiday enjoyment, with his health.
Here are 12 suggestions useful in avoiding holiday weight gain, while enjoying the holidays:
1. Add a bit of time each day to your normal exercise routine to help maintain balance. By adding just five or ten minutes each day, most of the extra calories are consumed and avoid weight gain during parties. You can even place one or two pounds.
2. Great holiday tradition – Walking with the Family!
A family walk:
-Get people in the house and away from food for just a while
-Helps burn a few calories
-Gives a feeling of momentum toward a diet healthy
-It helps most of the family group and feel better
Hopefully, the family draws closer.
3. Slow down the process of digestion by eating protein foods before eating foods containing carbohydrates. Doing this will help keep blood sugar more stable, help to feel full sooner and help you avoid overeating.
4. Enjoy the special gifts of love, a little less bite. The first two or three bites any of their favorite foods are the most pleasant and tasty. Indulge in special dishes and your favorite meals in the holidays, in moderation.
5. For dinner buffet, take a stroll through the buffet line without notice and a plate of his favorite subjects. Then take a minute or two to set their priorities. Then take the smaller plate and go through the buffet line, limiting its parts do not stack food. Just build a level of food on your plate. You can always go back if you missed something you want to eat.
6. When it comes to dessert, enjoy desserts that you like, in moderation.
