Ornament Barbie

What is a good collection of annual gifts for a girl?
This is the first Christmas for my niece. She is only 8 months old now, but I want to start an annual collectible gift tradition. I need ideas! I was thinking of Barbie on vacation, or maybe a year Mickey ornament (which seems to loves Mickey Mouse.) Anyone know of any other good gifts like this?
Sure where you are but I'm from southeastern Wisconsin, and here in Rasmussen Diamonds you can buy a pearl and pick them up so when she is old enough that you can have a real pearl necklace. I asked about it for my daughter, depending on size Pearl you want between $ 25 – $ 60 do not remember the exact dimensions and prices. In addition, when you start you have to pay I think $ 25 for the chain (which is obviously a one time fee) and then every year or special occasion you can add a pearl.
