Why art painters like Norman Rockwell, Frank Frazetta or considered only "enlightened"?
Rembrandt painted portraits for profit. Michelangelo worked on rent. So did almost all the famous artists at one time or another. Why is that Rembrandt Da Vinci are considered true artists Rockwell still only a mere "illustrator"? Renaissance painters painted similar themes and subjects. Painted murals and portraits. All were commercial artists. So why not art critics like Norman Rockwell, but accept others? Tell me the difference between illustrator and an artist "real"?
the U.S. contribution to folk art is … commercial art. Rockwell's art was devised after deducting printed pieces giving the best view. Travel anywhere in the world and you'll realize the intense competition for many products, mirroring the U.S. contributed to produce beautiful stores. Rembrandt has the appearance of being an illustrator because he only worked for the wealthy bishops, both Mr. Buonarroti disrepute. Only one of the works Miguel Angel is located in a private collection, and trash. Painting is for the soul. The sculpture is to the mind. Rockwell is presented in the gut.
