Figurine Boy
Does anyone recognize this mark on the bottom of my picture?
It is a capital "N" in blue ink with a crown above it – the crown has 5 points in it. The statuette is of three young children – a girl high in the center with a child wrapped in swaddling clothes with a younger boy at his side. The detail is incredible – the toes of the shoes wear out so you can see the toes of children. I would say that the piece is from Bavaria and German, maybe from Austria – despite the fact that just may be the style of the piece and does not indicate its origin. Thanks. Red! Thanks – I looked at that site and could not find this exact brand, but I found another site selling a piece Capodimonte and found almost identical to a mark identical enough! I guess over the years that had a lot of brands (But this appears to be genuine and not a knock-off! My grandma collected figurines and I can not imagine she would have bought a fake.) Without seeing your brand of hard to say how old he is, but the N to the Crown and the blue writing is more likely to Capodimonte. . Sounds as a great piece. You may want to go http://www.onlinecollectibles.com/faq/capodimonte2.htm to see the different brands and the time peroid of this company
