The AKC first recognized the Dachshund nearly a century ago. The dog has been well adopted by American culture and is considered as one of the five registered breeds. The Dachshund is a member of the family and the dog easily recognized by its small size, long body, small legs and a face pointed.
The Dachshund has a long and interesting history. In the 15 th century, which was widely used to kill other wildlife such as badgers.
