Teddy bears and Famous People
As we are all aware, teddy bears have had and loved by thousands of people around the world, regardless of age, nationality or sex and both rich and poor, but we did not realize how many famous people have owned a teddy bear?
Politicians members of the Royal Family, sportsmen and women, Pop Stars and movie stars have been known to have a special teddy bear. Many celebrities have finally come clean to admit that he has owned a teddy bear who have loved, though, only during the last decades that have and love a teddy bear has had a stigma associated with it. Previously, loving a teddy bear as a little child thought or were seen as a bit eccentric. Fortunately, however, we can all now shout from the rooftops that we love teddy bears!
Alexis Tarnoff, the famous dancer, was given a teddy bear when he was only five years old (Born in 1901 – just before the teddy bear made its appearance). His teddy bear was painted black boot button eyes and made of mohair. He is all an unusual kind of teddy bear, arms and legs are rather narrow and attached to his body outside a metal sealing, metal buttons which seem large, who have "shield" trademark. In fact, this bear is very similar to teddy bears early French, dating back to the years 1920 – 1930, as these bears had the external as well as their union. The problem is that if this were the case, dates, etc do not match, so I guess her teddy bear always be a little more of a mystery. Unfortunately Tarnoff Alexis died in 1989, we can not ask for more information about the history of his old bear. However, trying to figure out the story of a teddy bear is often very exciting and interesting and really adds to the excitement of collecting teddy bears.
The last Dame Barbara Cartland, who was famous for writing romance novels, had a teddy bear called the prince of love. She said he personified teddy bear version of romantic heroes. The Prince of Love was decorated throughout by a series of jewels that were given to him by Ms. Cartland. Had pending stitched up and down the arms and an ear and wore a beautiful pink ribbon around his neck (Mrs Cartland was always famous for pink dress herself.) It her teddy bear dressed to look, as she said, as an Indian prince. Barbara even wrote a special poem for his beloved teddy bear.
Dame Judy Dench, the actress famous among many other functions, is known for her role as "M" in recent James Bond movies, has been an avid collector teddy stuffed for many years. It now has more than 100 teddy bears in her collection, her favorite teddy bear is her first she calls 'gray'. Gray beautiful green dress pants.
Ringo Starr (drummer for The Beatles) Panda has a very big that was given in 1976 by Keith Moon (drummer of the famous with The Who). It was evident that love at first sight, since the two became almost inseparable. Ringo called "President of the Board for its Panda, who now resides in all meetings Ringo's work. The Chairman of the Board was given a pair of white gloves that belonged to Marc Bolan (of T-Rex fame).
The late and great poet, Sir John Betjeman (1906 – 1984) was a beloved teddy bear was made by the famous German Steiff company (around 1910). Sir John derives great comfort from his teddy bear that called 'Archibald'. Sir John Archibald even wrote in his poetry (Convened by the Bell). When he died, Archibald was in his arms.
Teddy bears have also been very active in Parliament. Edwina Currie have called 'Omar' often sat at his desk in the House of Commons, as its mascot of luck. Sometimes, Edwina to practice their speeches about it and not once or respond to moan again.
The late Dr. Marjorie (Mo) Mowla was a large and, as she calls it, "more ugly" teddy bear that her father had bought for her when she was a little girl, who bought a tobacconist local, which called it "Growler."
Former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, had a large stuffed teddy bear she called "Humphrey" which was made of sheepskin leather with brown legs, who was born around 1930. During the 1980's lived with the Prime Minister at No. 10 Downing Street, London of course, that was when he was not out of the office doing important charity work. Humphrey was a bear very large at 22 inches tall. Alas, poor Humphrey a teddy bear heaven in 1988 after it was put in the washer.
The late Earl Mountbatten Burman (1900 – 1979), grew to become the master of sea in the first place. He owned a beautiful and beloved Steiff Bear (circa 1904). Presumably, his teddy bear was given by one of his German relatives.
BBC celebrity gardener, Alan Titchmarsh has a bear that he called 'Teddy', who sits on a chair outside his bedroom door. Unfortunately, the bear has lost most of his stuffed hands. Although the head is still very firmly attached, it seems "lean" slightly to one side. Poor old Teddy smiles a smile Alan put pen friendly in him to replace his black stitched one.

Prince Charles is also known for his love of teddy bears and was photographed taking her teddy bear to school with him. The late Queen Mother also loved teddy bears and has been photographed many times holding teddy bears and when Sarah Ferguson married Prince Andrew, Prince Edward gave both a great Merrythought teddy bear.
Elvis Presley had many teddy bears, despite having a special teddy bear that he called Mabel. Mabel was a plush sky when, after visiting England, had a confrontation with a dog. Elvis had a hit with the song teddy bear and was later bombarded with teddy bears on stage by fans every time he sang the song.
Shirley Temple sang the beautiful song of me and my teddy bear and later the song was covered by many artists as Peter Gabriel, Sharron Corr and Rosemary Clooney.
Actually there are so many Pop Stars, Movie Stars and showbiz people who have owned the teddy bears, too many to mention in this article and many other famous poeple too, as Donald Campbell (the land speed record holder and water). Amy Johnson (who flew solo from England to Australia), Willie Carson (the joke), Jimmy Hill (sports commentator), etc, etc …..
It is therefore clear to us all that even the wealthy and famous need the love, support and comfort of a teddy bear. Is there no end to his love?
